Privacy Policy
Last updated 1 June 2026
An introvert-first privacy pledge: no ad tracking, no data resale, and no need for your contact list. Here is exactly what we hold and why.
Our pledge
Sollyte is built around one of the most personal things a person can record: how other people affect them. We treat that data as private by default.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not run advertising networks inside Sollyte. We do not build advertising profiles from your interactions, and we never ask for access to your contacts, your camera roll or your social accounts in order for the core app to work.
Who we are
Sollyte is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at any time at support@sollyte.app for privacy questions, including access, correction or deletion requests.
What we collect
We keep collection deliberately narrow. Depending on how you use Sollyte, we may hold:
- Account data: an email address, and a display name or initials if you choose to add one.
- Energy data you enter: interactions, the type and rough group size, how they landed, battery check-ins, planned events, recaps and written reflections.
- Library activity: which chapters and pieces you have unlocked, completed or saved to favourites.
- Technical data: app version, device type and operating system version, crash reports and basic diagnostic logs.
- Aggregate usage data: anonymous counts such as how many people opened a screen, used to decide what to improve.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your precise location, your contact list, your calendars without an explicit action from you, your microphone or camera input, health records, or the names of the people in your interactions unless you choose to type them yourself into a note.
Why we process it
We only use your data for purposes you would expect:
- To operate the app: calculating your battery level, event estimates, trends and recaps.
- To sync your own data across your own devices and restore it if you reinstall.
- To unlock and track your progress through the library.
- To keep the app stable and secure, by diagnosing crashes and abuse.
- To reply to you when you contact support.
Legal bases
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on the performance of our contract with you to operate the Service, on your consent for anything optional such as diagnostics or marketing email, and on our legitimate interests in keeping Sollyte secure and functional.
Sharing and processors
We share data only with a small set of service providers who help us run Sollyte, such as cloud hosting, database storage, crash reporting and transactional email. They act on our instructions, under contract, and may not use your data for their own purposes.
Payments made through the Apple App Store are processed by Apple. We never see your full payment card details.
We may disclose data if we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect the rights and safety of our users, but we will resist overbroad requests where we lawfully can.
Storage, security and retention
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access inside our team is limited to what is necessary, and administrative access is logged.
We keep your energy data for as long as your account exists, because its value comes from history. If you delete your account, we delete or irreversibly anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records for legal or accounting reasons.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete your account and the data associated with it.
- Export your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent you previously gave.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children
Sollyte is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses to protect your data in transit and at rest.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change to how we handle your data, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
Contact
Privacy questions, data requests and deletion requests all go to the same place: support@sollyte.app. A person reads it.
